Dr. Elif Bengi Unsal Ozberk

I completed my undergraduate education at Ankara University. I obtained my master's degree from Hacettepe University in 2012 and my Ph.D. from Ankara University in 2016. During my doctoral studies, I served as a visiting researcher at the University of North Carolina. Currently, I am a Senior Lecturer in the Psychology Department at Buckinghamshire New University, where I train psychologists, psychotherapists, and consultants. Since immigrating to the UK in 2022, I have continued my psychotherapy, supervision, training, and consultancy services through my own company, Omni Psychotherapy & Counselling.

During my postgraduate studies, I continued to work as a psychologist and psychotherapist. In accordance with the standards of the European Association for Psychotherapy, I completed Basic and Master training in Positive Psychotherapy from The World Association for Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy in Germany, earning the title of Positive Psychotherapist.

Additionally, since I started my career as a psychologist in 2009, I have participated in numerous trainings to enhance my professional knowledge, including EMDR Therapy, Crisis Trauma Grief Counseling, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Family and Marriage Therapy. As a fundamental requirement of my long-standing role as a psychotherapist, I have maintained my own therapy, supervision, and intervision practices. Professionally, I am a Chartered member of The BPS (British Psychological Society), a Registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy), and a member of WAPP (World Association for Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy).
